Earlier this week, the kindergarten students walked to the Kendallville North Fire Station. The students got to see the living quarters for the fire fighters. The fire fighters explained some of the equipment on the fire trucks. The students got to climb in one of the fire trucks to see what it looked like inside. The fire fighters discussed fire safety with the students. They challenged the students to ask their parents to check their smoke detectors every week. They also suggested that families change the batteries in their smoke detectors twice a year when they set their clocks ahead/back for daylight savings. When asked how many students wanted to be fire fighters, MANY hands were raised! The students had a good time on the trip.

Preschool students are working hard on ROARS by making green choices in class. They love earning paw prints for their charts and we love cheering for them when a chart gets filled.
